This Spring was a great success for the Brant Tree Coalition as we collaborated with community partners on 4 tree planting events in Brantford and Brant County!
- April 20th
- 9th Annual Brant County Community Tree Plant – over 200 residents helped plant 275 native trees and shrubs at Jacob’s Woods in St. George
- April 22nd
- Earth Day 15th Annual Brant Tree Coalition High School Tree Plant – over 500 high school students planted 2,148 native trees and shrubs at the Brant Conservation Area
- April 27th
- 11th Annual Brantford Community Tree Plant -over 200 city residents planted 1,000 native trees and shrubs at Brier Park
- May 4th
- Annual Rotary Tree Plant – Rotarians and friends (about 75 volunteers) planted 250 trees within two hours at Rotary Park (Blackburn and Memorial Parkway).
All of these tree planting events were very successful and had the involvement and cooperation of the all members of the Brant Tee Coalition (that includes numerous volunteers, community groups, City staff and the GRCA).
The Brant Tree Coalition has now helped orchestrate the planting of over 125,000 native trees and shrubs in the City and County. If you’d like to support our work and help plant more trees throughout our community, consider making a donation below!
