Brant Waterways Foundation's Nominating Committee is seeking new members to join the board for 2025 - 2028
In developing a group of qualified candidates, the following skills, knowledge, and experience will be especially sought to complement the current Board of Directors:
- Corporate fundraising experience to advance the Foundation’s ability and capacity to raise funds from leading companies invested in the Brant, Brantford and Six Nations communities.
- Engineering and construction knowledge to share knowledge and expertise to guide proposed projects that align with the mission of the Foundation
- The Foundation wishes to advance their work in protecting the lands and waterways of the region and is also looking for expertise and knowledge in landscape and natural heritage conservation science.
New Board members will be elected into the Board at our Annual General Meeting in June and will commence joining monthly Board meetings in July.
Meetings (virtual) are on the third Wednesday of each month from 8 am – approximately 9:30 am and we meet in person once per quarter (the day of the week may vary for in-person meetings).
The deadline for submission is May 12, 2025. Only those candidates selected for an interview by the Board nominating committee will be contacted.

1. Expression of Interest: Briefly share with us why you’re applying to serve as a Director and how your strengths align with the areas identified above.
2. A brief resume highlighting your experience and qualifications, including:
- Business/work experience
- Previous board experience,
- Past experience that would assist the board, particularly in the areas identified above
- Previous community and/or volunteer activities for up to the last five years
- Two professional references.
